I tried my best :P
The red X marks a Raider camp (They are under the bridge).
There is also a raider base on the other route (and probably some more), but you can rush through or sneak around it.

Do you think I can make it south from 5C/5D, because those are the only places I discovered so far (I'm very far from the Citadel..).
I tried following the pointer on the map but (as I was telling a friend on my screenshot) starting from Marigold Station 6D it looks like impossible to get south, all the ways are blocked.
No. You don't have to go trough Grayditch.
You see 9B, the Nuka Cola Factory? It stands directly next to the highway. Simply follow the highway :)
Or follow the river on the east site. You won't have to walk through metro stations or change the map.
I went from Super Duper Mart to the sewers which then led me near the Citadel..
I took the same route. Easy, wasn't it?
