Is it Possible That Reilly's Rangers Will Die if I Don't Reach Them in Time?
I accepted the quest in Underworld from Reilly, but I decided to do teh 'Stealing Independence' quest instead. I got a radio distress signal from the rangers, but I carried on with my quest. I got the signal again later, and it was just static. I'm wondering, does that mean I was too late and they died, or can I still save them? I don't mean "Will I still past the quest?", I care about saving their lives, not so much the quest.

Please don't asnwer this if you THINK what will happen is blah blah; only answer this if you have been in this scenario before and KNOW what happens.

It has been a long time but I think your ok. I don't think they can actually be killed until you try to rescue them at the Statesman Hotel, or at the very least the area surrounding it.

While attempting to rescue them however, there are a several spots they can be killed thou. Danger spots are on the rooftop itself, and when your leaving thru lobby with all of them exiting the elevator.

If they all die quest fails. For best odds of keeping them all alive, I suggest making sure your skills are up to par when dealing with super mutants swiftly.
