this game runs perfect on the steam deck. needs to get changed from unsupported to playable.

Agreed. I've put close to 30 hours into Fallout 3 so far on the Steam Deck and it's been running great.

Worked right out of the box for me. I've put 40+ hours into it on the Steam Deck and so far it's been solid. It does crash on occasion, but that happens for me on Windows too, so I don't fault the Steam Deck or Proton for that.

I just downloaded it. I can't get the
performance data to disappear. I tried the right deck button and tried that menu but it didn't work. Any suggestions?

Unfortunatly there seems to be an issue with the german version of the game. It crashes as soon as you hit the play button. Haven‘t found a solution to that yet. Happy to here it works fine for non german versions.

When i load it, the controls randomly stop working. All the deck button combos stop working. I can back out they all work again, resume the game and they dont work. Ive tried several versions of proton... any suggestions?

I'm having trouble at the start after picking my gender, everybody stops talking so the game doesn't progress

It worked perfectly out of the box for me for a while, until it stopped working, where it would just crash back to the launch screen, and idk how to to fix it from there.
Otherwise, it runs smoothly with minimal jumps and crashes

That will never happen. Fallout 3 was born to crash.

Ich hatte das gleiche Problem, bei mir hat der Download der xlive.dll aus dem Netz und einfügen ins Programmverzeichnis geholfen. Einfach googeln, gibt Anleitungen.

Yeah any Steam Deck users looking to play Fallout 3..... just don't.
I've put in about 3 hours into this game and already got hit with at least 3 crashes.

Same with Fallout New Vegas.
