Getting to rivet city without using the river?
Title says it all. Is it possible to get to rivet city by the metro system. I have been in the metro tunnels for about 40 minutes and i managed to find my way to anacostia (north east of rivet) but it just leads into the capitol building. I dont want to go all the way back to the river since that would ruin my rp playthrough. Any way of getting somewhere near rivet by anacostia?

A little bit of backtracking is fine but i dont really want to go all the way back to megaton.

Yes it is possible. But you have to go across many super mutants. Just follow the river.

Can you actually be useful and tell me what i want to know? Sorry for sounding like a ♥♥♥♥ but i specifically said "any way to go to rivet without the river?".

Oh sorry i thought swimming through the river. Maybe go to galaxy news radio and then ... go east or something. Sorry if this sounds dumb but there should be a metro station over there that leads to the metro station at rivet city.

Update: I finally found a way last night. I literally just went back into the subway station and walked across the bridge. That spat me out infront of the rivet city.

you are not able to take the metro to rivit city. but you can go by land. the catch is is that there is a large number of super mutants with at least one super mutant brute and a few centaurs. its just safer to pop a rad-x and swim
