It became much easier for me after I got the double dash, but yeah without it he's quite difficult
Best I can say for myself is that I can consistently get him down to half-health before getting deleted from this mortal plane.
Pretty good stuff, getting there! Some tips if you want, hopefully these help others as well:
- The fast red laser rifle fire can be dodged fully with dash->slide, you get more distance with slide and can chain dash->slide infinitely (because dash cools down during the slide).
- The fast red laser rifle fire is always followed by a sword slash once you get close to the boss.
- Single big blue orb is the indicator for the floor overheat. The orb goes to the wall and then either of BOTH ends of the map can be hit to fix the floor.
- For the red orbs and huge red laser, you have the good idea to get far to give yourself space to dodge! I also dodge over the huge red lasers the same way you did, you'll need to do the same when the lasers get tighter after.
It really isn't like that. Everything the mech shoots can be dodged. The timing just gets super specific when the beams come out. Also getting deflection experiments helps significantly. My first few kills, I felt the same way, as I just sort of face-tanked certain attacks. Eventually, I got to the point of actually evading and moving fairly successfully.
He's just... a lot.
Trying to beat the game not spend a half hour dodging just to get a single hit in every 10 seconds.
When he starts firing giant orbs, stand a bit back and just use melee to hit the orbs- if you have the baton upgrade you can knock them back at him for big damage. He punishes you for being greedy, but if you take your time he's not too bad- you'll most often take damage because you're trying to do damage instead of dodging.
It really shouldn't take more than about 2-3 minutes, even without losing a Caress.
I'm pretty sure upgrades are locked for the guns until you beat the game once, but suits can be upgraded whenever.
oooh ok, my mistake
In the past I focus evading the fire laser, but I find no point prolong the nightmare.
So I shoot and "try to sync the movement" with laser.
Turn out focus fast killing the boss is better than hades style hiding
Actually you can just wait the rival arrive first, then you just go in.
Bypass the annoying deadly endless monster spawn survival pointless event
