Also remember, the Ultimate Collection was released all the way back in 2012 on disc and on EA's Origin store. It's only this year that EA decided to release it on Steam, presumably because the sales of the Ultimate Collection on their own store have died down.
No, there's an ongoing push internally at EA to put more of their games on Steam. This release was part of that project. I believe Jim Vessella mentioned that at the release of this collection.

The Ultimate Collection wasn't really released on disc, by the way; that release was just a dvd case with an Origin redeem code inside. But yea, the bundle has been the only way to buy the classic games for over a decade. Nothing has changed except that it's also available on Steam now.

It wasn't pulled from stores. You always have to buy the entire bundle as the only way to buy Renegade digitally. Has been this way since Origin time.

lmao what? This game wasn't on Steam at all before the bundle, and it's been in this bundle on EA's own platform for literally the last decade.

Dude, the whole bundle costs about as much as a large pizza.

True, but it would be nice to only buy the games you want.

It'd be much easier to convince new players to come try Ren if they only had to pay 1.49 as opposed to buying the entire franchise.
also maybe ppl dont want to buy bundles k thx?🤷🏻‍♂️🎉🎉🎉🤔🤔🤔

Except they only lowered the prices to these amounts for the bundle. All the games that were already on Steam before the bundle cost significantly more as individual titles. So that's nonsense. If it weren't in this bundle, it'd still be like 10-15 dollar per game.

Yea , the bundle costs about the same price as 1-2 of the games if they were sold individually. Just imagine it's just 1 C&C game that you want + its expansion pack and the others are just free gifts they force you to keep in your library.

It's weird they list the individual game prices in the bundle, yet you can't buy them individually. What sense does that make? >:(
It's not just Renegade, seems no C&C game can be bought separately. On the other hand you get all of them for 20€ and 8€ on sale and thanks to bundles you don't have to buy what you already own, but only what you are missing.

It's not common, but I know other games that do it too. 1st Fear is only sold in the complete bundle and the 1st three Alone in The Dark games are sold as a trilogy for example.

For C&C3 and later games, the individual price is relevant because if you already own those on steam and buying the bundle, the price is deducted based on the games you already have as they used to be available separately before the pack was put on steam.

The other C&C game prices are there just so they can total up the bundle price.
they should sell it individually tho🤷🏻‍♂️
