It's also pretty bad in game too since it has a very far out zoom on higher resolutions.
Is there any method to do borderless windowed and have it stretched so it's not zoomed quite so far out and the menus work?
please don't do this rubbish. We want the game left normal and simple to use.

If you do a lower resolution in the ini files, but then grab Lossless Scaling on Steam (I think it's like 5€/$/£ or something) and check my later post for what settings worked for me, that could do it -- so edit ini according to how originally stated in sun ini and ddrawcompat ini, for instance the 960x540p, then, in steam launch options add "-win" for tiberian sun so it launches in a window, then open up lossless scaling, tweak settings, use the I think xbr scaling option as is mentioned on its store page for 2D pixel games, some other settings, then press the "scale" button or use the shortcuts (I think they were ctrl+alt+s) while in the tiberian sun game window, and now it should upscale the lower resolution in a borderless window fullscreen style.
on my 1080p monitor it looked decent, don't know how good/bad it will look on a 1440p monitor considering it is upscaling a lower internal resolution technically.
