Are you playing skirmish through the CnCNet launcher or through the normal Steam launch?

Also, uh, you can always just delete everything in the install folder and redownload the game :steambored:

In fact, I'm fairly sure you can just copy the entire RA2 folder and install CnCNet on the copy.

Steam launcher, i dont ever plan to use CnCNET outside of multiplayer
You can do as Nyerguds said, but also I can recommend keeping the CnCNet client even for single player - you get a lot more options for skirmishes (harder AI options too, though I wouldn't recommend that until you're comfortable beating the vanilla one).

I had some crashing issues with it recently too, but it seems fixed for me now. Are you on the latest version?

Also, it has (many) resolution options right in the options, so you can pick anything from full vintage to 1080p.

Yeah I've been able to play now but the resolution is still screwed no matter what I set it to. But it only affects the menu not actual game, so I'm not too bothered by it

Um. That's normal. In Yuri's Revenge, the resolution changes don't affect the main menu. That's always been like that. It has nothing to do with CnCNet.

It has screwed up all my sliders and map selection, which was normal until CNET so I doubt it's a coincidence

That's actually Windows bugs with old DirectX stuff. It's not that CnCNet breaks it, it's that, on your system, the default included DirectX-fixing wrapper system EA included fixes it, and the one CnCNet uses apparently doesn't.

I think CnCNet has a choice of different such wrappers in its settings tool though, so you can just try if there are others included that make it work better.
