Red Alert 2 Fallout bridges

I'm playing Fallout mission and my Seals can't destroy bridges, none of my troops can. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Are you using force fire (hold CTRL) for the command? On some maps, bridges and other civilian are classed as friendly to the player, and as such you can't attack them by default.

additionally its possible bridges can be made indestructible in the game rules. Though I think thats only the case in the campaign when the bridges are given no repair huts.
