Exact same issue here. If you skip the video it's fine, but if you play the video it crashes after Yuri says "I tell you...". It even crashes when you play the video from the main menu. Anyone has a solution?

had the same thing skipping the video is the only option unless it gets patched.

Exact same issue here: CTD during Weathered Alliance opening cutscene. I thought it was a one-time thing and replayed the previous mission a couple more times but it crashed on all of them. Strangely enough, this is the only cutscene in which a crash occurs; all of the other cutscenes (including ones after that are only obtainable by skipping this one) work great.

Wonder if it works if the cutscene file is replaced? if anyone has the CD file and can replace it and report back that would be awesome

Can confirm this fixes it, grabbed my copy of The First Decade and installed RA2, replaced Steam's version of MOVIES01.MIX & MOVIES02.MIX with the files from my disc install and it's working fine now.

I can confirm that it is the MOVIES02.MIX file that needs to be copied over from the disc. MOVIES01.MIX should be fine. I finished the allied campaign and there were no issues with movies.
