Lazy EA ! This is scam ! Its all about nostalgia.Is this is a joke ? Where are remastrered ?

I cant believe it , how many people actually want to buy this game again on steam.They have changed nothing at all , in graphics , optimisations , resolutions , gameplay over all.Dont pay them money , for being Lazy and greedy.EA destroyed Westwood Studions , and many other great companies.Ea just knows , that you are weak and have strong nostalgia to the old classic games.The truth is that , the companies that made theses classic are already gone , and destroyed by EA ! .Please dont buy there games !.EA is scam , and a really bad company.Instead of making remastered , they re release again ,and again the same old claasic games , with the same old classic issues after 20 years.Where is remastered version of Tiberiun San , Red alert 2 , Generals ?.

The entire point of this was to make it so you didn't have to use EA App and to distribute mod/map editors. It wasn't supposed to be some sort of huge remake or new content. It's something the C&C community has been asking for for ages.

To be clear, C&C: The Ultimate Collection was first released in 2nd October 2012, this was prior to Generals 2, & those who pre-ordered C&C:UTC will get access to Generals 2 Alpha/Beta.

This C&C: Collection on Steam on the other hand is just a re-release of the same thing 12 years ago. I didn't expect any changes or remastered graphics, but just only proper optimization for the old games.

But EA being EA, they didn't improve anything, other than giving us a widescreen support which barely works.

Is most likely because they didn't communicate properly with the C&C community that did all the improvements & optimizations for past 3 - 4 decades. Like how is it that we have to go into a "config file" all over again to fix the same old issues after 3 decades?

Not only that, they don't even bother to tribute Westwood's name on their original game's Store page. Every Classic C&C games are now under "EA Los Angeles" instead of "Westwood Studios".

And if you all are expecting an "official remaster" for both TibSun & RA2, just so you know, the original Westwood team (Petroglyph Games) said they lost the original source code for it. So it won't be happening anytime soon.

OP. My brother in Christ. Please sit down, you're embarrassing yourself. This post is worded, and formatted, much like the same tripe I posted about EA way back in HS when the BF franchise collapsed. I truly understand the hatred for EA over being anti-consumer and ruining a childhood franchise, but this is not one of those times.

The release of the 'C&C Ultimate Edition' on Steam is not, nor was it marketed as, a remaster. It is a relaunch on a different platform because EA is fully aware that the EA App / Origin are outdated and lackluster at best which means nobody wants to use them. If you want to make the anti-consumer argument then fine, you could do that if they marketed it as a new release or a 'restoration' or something, but it was simply put on in it's current form and advertised as such.

There's a huge difference between being a vocal critic of a company's bad practices and just throwing out rage bait on a forum. Be constructive, if you're going to call out problems you also have to propose solutions and offer praise when things go well.

There are several classic games on GOG that don't play well with modern systems.

People absolutely did ask for this. There are several threads asking for Generals etc.
