Game crashes when I press the Skirmish" tab
Anyone else have this issue?

For me it freezes (music still plays) for 10-15 seconds and then turns me to map selection menu. But no crashes.

Dang, different for me... does yours freeze every time you get on skirmish?

Yes and everytime when skirmish ends.

Freezes and doesn't unfreeze. Also can't even control alt delete as it won't let task manager pop over it. Only way to exit is to restart my computer.

I get the same issue. RA2 and YR. Go into skirmish, music keeps playing, but mouse becomes laggy. No maps, no option to go back.

Skirmish works fine for me. I know this doesn't directly help you, but it at least appears to not be a universal issue.

Yeah, I just got a non-crash and a freeze. Was able to play this time around.

Seems like people have different issues as well.

Installed CnCNet patch from their site it fixed my freeze issue.

I had the same issues a Mikey.

Putting this here in case it helps someone else. I changed RA2.exe and RA2MD.exe to run in XP Service Pack 2 compatibility mode (right-click > compatibility tab > XP Service Pack 2 from the drop down). Started the game from Steam as normal.

Now it hangs, the music plays but after about 10 to 15 seconds the Skirmish menu loads. Haven't had any crashes or performance issues once the game starts.

Not sure if this change fixed (or rather, improved) my issue but I'm putting it out there just in case.

When I am playing as the Soviet forces. Game is working away with no problems. But after I complete the mission, capturing the president in Texas. The game cuts to video with the General and Yuri talking, but about a minute in the video, the game crashes. Any solution for this
