How do you capture an ally's buildings in skirmish?

Yuri clones or Yuri prime? I've tried right clicking a building with both but it doesn't work.

Only Yuri Prime can do this just press force fire (CTRL) and attack on a building

You can declare war/un-ally to take a building, then re-ally.

Can't you just hold Ctrl when ordering an Engineer into an allied building? I know that works in Tiberian Dawn, but I guess in later games, the Engineer's added Repair function might mess that up.

RA2 doesn't let you with engineers, its forever a wrench icon when you try that on allied buildings

The closest thing to capturing ally's tech in Zero Hour is to have your nuke cannon force fire your ally's dozer with neutron shell.
