Hey. Sorry about this.

I'm away from a computer until next week so there is only so much I can do.

I would make sure the there isn't anything that would be causing issues with the folder permissions to your documents folder.

It’s okay, enjoy your time off and also Happy Easter to you!

I uploaded a new build that will fix your current error.

But because you didn't share the original error and made the save files yourself, I don't know what caused that issue. I would bet it is a permissions error on on your documents folder, but I just don't know.

The issue is a permissions problem like I thought.

For some reason the game is being denied the ability to edit or add files to the document folder.

My first thought is that you might have antivirus that is blocking this.
-If you do have anti virus you can try turning it off and if the game runs fine it is to blame.
-if it is anti virus blocking the game from making files, you could maybe add it as an exception

Another option might be to try running the game as administrator.
-In steam right click on the game and go to properties
-Then select "Installed files" on the left and click the browse button on the right.
-you will see a folder. Right click on "Dead Pixels.exe" and select "run as administrator"

Hopefully one of those works.
