Where are Angel and K9999?

Hi people, my favorit character in king of fighters is Angel and her team (K9999 and Kula in kof 2k2). Appear these characters in this game?

I thought K9999 was buried because of his near lawsuit level similarity to Tetsuo.

But yeah, K9999 and Angel haven't appeared in the series since the 2k2, even though Angel was a pretty cool character.

Kula and her non-playable companions are there though (Diana, Foxy).

Saiki and Dark Ash are not playable though

Not sure with k999 but Angel and May Lee is not SNK's property. They are still owned by Eolith the makers of 2k1 and 2k2. As long as SNK doesn't have the rights for Angel or May Lee, we may never see them again in future SNK titles

That is just a rumor though. Angel for example has appeared in other SNK titles later that Eolith has nothing to do with.

For me, the best is kof 2k2.
Eolith should do the kof, would be a good decision from SNK and both win.
It's a shame if that is the case and we do not see her in the next parts :(

SNK(P) will most likely release King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match on Steam sooner or later. All your favorites will be there, except K9999 who has been reworked into Nameless.[snk.wikia.com]

There was a leak on steam db where titles such as 98UM, 2k2UM, KOFXIII appeared and KOFXIII was eventually released. I'm guessing they're currently working on either 98 or 2k2 and hopefully they do not release the games with inferior netcode compared to 98 and 2k2 on GGPO

While we are at it, my guess* would be that they are working on Metal Slug 3 more actively at the moment. That doesn't necessarily mean that it would be released before 2002 or 98, maybe they are already done and waiting to be released. Who knows?

Would be a great new that release King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match on steam. I hopefully that happen soon.
Also I like metal slug series, but if you want to play something similar while release the metal slug in steam, there is a imitation, Mercenary Kings http://store.steampowered.com/app/218820 , that looks good

I congratulate all your team for this great game.
Without a doubt very good, but in my opinion it could be much better, this is because I miss several characters that were already familiar to me, as Whip, Vanessa, k9999, Blue Mary and Seth among others. But mostly, Angel who was my favorite character.

Will we see Angel and other characters as DLC or in a future King of Fighters?

My favorite was Blue Mary, but I remember K9999 because he stood out. So many interesting and cool characters left behind.

K9999 is a character of an anime quite old. SNKP no longer has the licence for this character.

Actually no, K9999 is not the character from the anime he is just lawsuit-level similar to it. Which is probably why he was more or less dropped from the series.

The rumored licensing issue has nothing to do with the anime either, but rather with Eolith. As I stated earlier, Angel for example has appeared in other SNK titles later that Eolith has nothing to do with, so the rumor is most likely nothing more than a rumor.
