KOF XIII - Global Match Announcement!

So they announced it with rollback netcode, but unfortunately PS4 & Nintendo Switch, whereas it should have been released on Xbox One/Series S/X and PS5 along with PC and crossplay :/

purely unfair, SNK decisions seems like they are releasing these games & enhancements for themselves. and they don't give detailed updates nor engage with their players on Facebook.

when i heard the news i was very happy as KOFXIII is my favorite KOF game i dont like their new games 14 and 15.
but when i saw its only for PS4 and switch, i feel sad and its not fair, also alot of KOF13 players bought this game on steam and we need update as well.

Well, as of what's known right now, if they only play on PC then they're not getting rollback. It'd be awfully strange of them to specifically omit the Steam logo for their rerelease if they did actually have plans for a PC version. Hell, I have a PS4 and it's still annoying because that means I'll have to pay for PS+ just to play XIII with rollback online, not to mention buying another copy of the same game just for the sake of online functionality...AGAIN!

The original console netcode was unplayable, switched to Steam Edition because they improved the netcode somewhat, and then you gotta pay again for rollback when functional netcode should've been a part of the game to begin with? It's almost like you're paying extra because they screwed up so badly the first time.

I love this game, so I'll do it. But that doesn't make it any less messed up.

Actually, I just thought of something. They could've omitted the Steam logo in that trailer because KOF XIII: Global Match is its own title would be released on PS4/Switch, but Steam Edition is separate from that, and it could possibly get the updates normally.

Eh...that's pretty wishful thinking though.

No one is playing SamSho with rollback on pc :), FG can't survive on PC without crossplay.

I see no mention of them updating KOF 13 at all they clearly announced a global match edition which is a new game.

If you look to the end of this trailer you will see KOF 97 global match was only announced for PS4 and Vita. But it came to steam regardless

Kof 97 has no rollback unfortunately, and I see your point, you mean if it comes to steam it will KOF XIII Global Match which we have to buy again right?

KOF97 Global match on Steam has rollback, it was the very first KOF game to get rollback which spurred all these older SNK titles getting updated with it over the last few years (Last Blade 2, Samurai Shodown V Special, Garou).

There is no way SNK is going to leave PC players hanging, especially after all the work gone into 98UM and 2002UM.

They got rid of DotEmu's terrible port of Garou MOTW on Steam and replaced it with a newly updated one based on the PS4 version, with rollback netcode that, and if you already owned the DotEmu version, it was updated to the new one at no additional charge.

I think (hope) that Steam wasn't mentioned because we already have this version and they'll just update it with the rollback patch. KOFXIII isn't on PS4 or Switch currently so maybe that's why the trailer only listed them.

Didn't know that 97 Global Match had rollback since no one was online lol, well let's hope they announce it asap
