Cancel = Do Move 2 while Move 1 is still animating.
Drive cancel = Cancel Special 1 into Special 2. Cost half drive meter.

So you do Nivose while Ash is still doing G.Caprice. All there is to it.

Just do it faster, dont give up! Try just rolling one move into the other as if it were one move.

Uh thanks for the encouragement but the problem was actually about charging the moves to drive cancel.

Charge times for special moves in this game are only half a second. I don't know if you know button notations, but think of the directional inputs as the number section on a keyboard like so

789 ---> UB Up UF
456 ---> Bck Ntrl Fwd
123 ---> DB Dwn DF

If you want to do a Drive Cancel from Germinal Caprice to Nivose, try charging DB and then do DF+Kick to do G. Caprice. From there, quickly do UF+Kick. Since you went from DB to DF, you still have the Down charge needed to quickly cancel into Nivose. Using standard notation, going from G. Caprice to Nivose would look like this:
Charge 1~3+Kick -> while still holding 3, quickly do 9+Kick

Similarly, if you want to do Nivose to Ventose, it'd come out as:
Charge 1~7+Kick -> while still holding 7, quickly do 9+Punch

Once you're trying to do longer Drive Cancel or HD combos, I find it easier to 6 (aka. Forward) instead of 9. I don't know if this will help with Ash, but I started training with Leona and I find it easier to do a 9 directional if I only want one Drive Cancel, but for me it's easier to do a 6 directional if I want multiple Drive Cancels (ie. HD Mode).

Learning the proper charge times and making extensive use of charging 1 on the directional is key to playing both Ash and Leona. From charging 1, you can choose from any special of Ash's except Genie. Doing HD and Sans-Culotte combos with Ash will require A LOT of practice, but don't give up.

Good luck and I hope this helps you.

Did it. Turns out that It's problem with my keyboard transitioning. I always accidentally hit right.

Glad that you're getting the hang of the game and Ash. He's a great character and is a beast when used well... which I can't do, LOL.

A person can probably get pretty good at playing the piano with their feet, but there are better ways to get the job done. The same goes for any fighting game and the 360 pad...
