Stuck on loading screen
Hey guys,
I've just downloaded KOF13SE, and I just get stuck on now loading? I've tried running it in window mode and it makes no difference, still stuck. Any ideas?

The only problem I could think of is that I've installed it on another hard drive than my steam/windows hard drive. Could this be the problem?

Cheers,

I'm having a similar issue now.
Stuck right on load, before it grabs the save game file.

Just says "Now loading" with the spinning envelope.
First time this has happened for me, I've been playing since Closed BETA v1.

Hi,

Can you backup your game save data somewhere (found in the steam userdata "kofxiii" directory), then delete the original game save data files and reboot the game?

This might help, let me know if it does.

Thanks

Jim

I dont have game save data. Its not in 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\29587912\' There is no 222940 folder, i've tried reinstalling - didn't help at all

The game has a problem with creating/saving data when in Fullscreen mode. This appears to be why the game won't start in fullscreen for some, like me and the OP.

I managed to get it to start by forcing windowed mode via '-w' in the launch parameters. When I did that, I got a 'Creating Save Data' message that I didn't get in fullscreen, then the game started as normal. However when I tried to switch back to fullscreen in-game, by switching to between Windowed and Fullscreen once in Options, the game then got stuck on the 'Saving' dialog upon exit from options menu.

But it's weird since in my case, the game started in full screen normally the first time, and it still can.

I have the same issue, windowed mode is no help. Still looking for the save data to see if that can help.

i was stuck as well because i installed it on an external hdd and the game couldn't create save data, steam mover didn't help. Only solution that helped was to reinstall the game on a local drive.

I am experiencing the same issues, it says my save data is corrupt and needs to be deleted and re created, when I have no save data as I just bought the game, and never gets past the now loading screen, I have tried everything and now am re installing the game to see if that works,

Don't install the game on drives that are bigger than 2TB. Won't work.

is this due to the game being 32 bit currently having this problem at a friends house who only has a 3tb drive

According to what people have written in past threads, you can create a small partition to install the game in and it'll work.

It's due to architecture used on large capacity HDD. Game's saving uses a hardcoded sector size which is default for most HDDs.

As mentioned earlier, you can try partitioning your disc, if you know how it's done. You can mess it up pretty bad otherwise. If he doesn't have any other drive, you can try installing it on an external drive. It's under 3GB in size after all. Works for some people. It works on my 16GB Sandisk, but doesn't work on my 500GB Intenso.
