Inputs Not Going Through

Hi. I use a TigerGames 3 in 1 Magic Joy Box with a PS1 controller. At the menue and in game, my button inputs wouls stop going through.

My analog stick would work, but sometime I would not be able to get heavy inputs or any attack inputs. I would mash the buttons for a while and after a few minutes of waiting, it would start to work. I would unplug the controller and it would usually read the inputs, but sometimes does not.

I would run another game to see if there was something with the controller(with KOF13 still running and not unplugging the controller) and it would work perfectly fine. I play other games perfectly fine.

Any advice/help would be deeply appreciated.
