I have tested it with my server and it is unstable, however the final value seems to be still higher than 64 so I have stayed on tick 128 for now.
Also you should change these two cvars:
cl_cmdrate 128
cl_updaterate 128
For both the server and the client.
Thanks!
sv_maxcmdrate 128
sv_maxrate 153600
rate 153600 seems to work
steve was on about useless cvar settings too, they are also good info to have i think :D
Stuff which have tons of guides all over the internet in better form than i'll can ever do is simply not worth to putting into the guide.
Tickrate will only be useful on closed servers for clans or competitive stuff (assuming that thing is even working and not useless completely), otherwise it's pure waste of time as the clients must have same tickrate set to synchronize with server.
Besides my ultimate goal would be theater and sourcemod once i fully understand both xD
if insurgency had tons of guides dude i would agree, but it does not.
servers are setup wrong because people are using settings from cs:go or tf2 which do not work right for ins.
having info in the guide that people need should be priority 1. people will need this soon.
