Yes, check your options.

I don't see an option for that anywhere

There's an option called "scope detail" on the first page of the graphics settings.

I changed the scope detail but the sniper rifle is still not fullscreen.

there is currently not a way to do what you are asking... scope detail should reduce the lag considerably but not enough IMO...

I agree sniping is kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥

This was my first reason for sticking to holographic sights. The second is this game does not have ranges where I need anything beyond the holographic sight, I can 'snipe' people with an M16 just fine out to the fog in this game. Headshots get hard at that distance but happen, chest shots are easy. With holo being only 1 supply point, you can put the rest towards AP ammo and be good to go. And not have minor lag while scoping-in.

I disagree with going with traditional scope mechanics of other games. I love the way it is now. Also, There are many situations where the 4x sight is greatly beneficial over the regular 1x sight.

Anyways, The only thing they could possibly do is perhaps optimize it alittle bit but personally I have no frame drops using them so I don't know what your specific problem is.

Actually I just checked. The 4x sights and sniper scopes really do put some intense usage on your gpu. For example my usage went from 45 percent to about 65 which is 20 percent more . So someone just on the edge using these scopes could cause some severe fps drops.

The way it works requires rendering the scene twice. It's a significant drop in FPS no matter what your system is.

A 2d option would be appreciated
