[Fixed]Very low fps on Insurgency, good computer
Here are my specs:
Athlon x4 750k Oced 3.9 GHz
Motherboard Asus F2A55-M/Csm
PNY 2x4 GB Ram 1333mhz
XFX HD 7850 Ultra OC Edition 1GB
1TB HDD
Corsair CX500 power supply

Please help!!! I'm getting mostly 10- 20 in outdoor areas. The FPS is jumping indoors like 20-50.
What I tried:
  • Verifying Game Cache
  • Installing DirectX from the game's files
  • Using commands

What is wrong?? What's the problem and how to fix this?
My GPU's drivers are fully updated

What fixed it for me was to play actual multiplayer.
I tested the game on the Single Player and Practise Modes and that was why I was gettting so low FPS.
Now I sometimes get 45 FPS in some maps when looking at the buildings outside. In some other maps I even get 80-90FPS.
The devs of the game simply need to fix the offline game and continue fixing the multiplayer.

have you tried "fps_max 60" in the console?

it may or may not help.....worth a try i guess right?

I will try... but I think the FPS is not limited. When I did some of the things above the FPS was good at the beginning, like 200 FPS! Then the people spawned and it went down to 20-30 FPS :(

this game is poorly optimized, it has so many particles that the source wasn't meant to handle... I don't get why developers toss in an extreme amount of particles, the cost vs. benefit is not worth it. The game doesn't look bad without particles and it's runs so much better. If you want a good engine for particles use the Cry or the newer versions of UDK

I get low FPS as well in 32 slot servers but in games like crysis and higher end games I get 100+ constant fps, doesn't make sense but whatever lol

Maybe this game is CPU Bound? And needs an i5 or something to get good FPS?

In your vid card settings, have you made settings or used, "Use application settings?"
I'd turn FSAA, filtering etc to "Use application settings."
Turn off vsync etc.

AMD 1100t at 4.0Ghz (thats six cores)
560 TI OC
16 gb RAM

nah, it's just not optimized, if they removed all the particles you'd see a 30+ increase in FPS. When I mdoded the maps to do this that is wha tpeople noticed. Civ recently experimented with my maps and found this too

I average 60fps on a 4 year old computer with a plain jane vid card. All in game settings are maxed.

This is the problem. I have a very good PC, but I can't get satisfying, acceptable FPS in a Source Game... While others like you who have worse PCs than mine get better FPS!!

Does your PC have an integrated graphics card as well as the GPU? It almost sounds like the game's not even seeing your main. As unoptimized as the game may be, I'm able to keep a stable 45 on a crappy system with a 650m and underclocked CPU.

performance is a known issue. People with high end rigs can't get over 100 steady frames on low settings yet angry seems to get better frames than 90% of people with 4 year old gear.

The game has performance issues try doing some tweaks and other things. The biggest issue is the particles on maps that hog down fps.

My rig is above average I get at least 120 at all times all settings maxed, what is your definition of a "high end rig"?

what are your settings. I have a 8350 and a 780OC I can barly get steady fps at 100 some maps are 150 no drops but most maps have "look left drop 50 frames" issues. and this is everything on Low of off WITH nvidia tweaks AND with console tweaks.

Everything is high as it will go, I have i5 at 3.4 and a 7950. Do you use a scope, the devs said that was a drain on fps.

I don't use scopes and it lags... rip,

try different resolutions civ tha thelps me a bit though it shouldn't for a super old engine
