if u cant seem to download microsoft reddist 2008-10 follow ....








FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK!!

what i did was

Renaming it work for me after you do this try installing the runtime again it should work after its done go back and delete the old one !!
In short: Rename the folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18 to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-18_old

During successful installation of KB3045318 this folder is created again, automatically.

steps

- locate the s-1-5-18 folder
- rename that folder to s-1-5-18_old ( case sensitive, so make sure its S )
- download kb3045318
- Now you can download vcredist 2008-2010 ( make sure to do it manually )

restart pc, and enjoy!!

Is there any specific error code or message when you try to install vcredist 2010 ?

i dont see any error codes, but i do have the logs

Also, from which source file did you try to install it ? Use only those provided in game files as they are confirmed to be flawless and working.

ok so i found a fix, and i finally installed 2010,2008.. BUT game still wouldnt launch

Only 2010 and 2013 are needed for insurgency, install both x86 and x64 versions.

Now if you've set compatibility mode for insurgency.exe disable that.
