Any modern weapon mods replacing AC556 and L1A1?

The ones I love the most are the AS-Val, the Norinco Type-97 with the Two Tone GGX texture from Tim, the VSS Vintores, the COD:Online TYPE 95 and Elliot's Ruger AC556 (Which has some beautiful chrome parts)

The key is always to search the mods by Popularity and mark the option "since the beginning" or something (idk how it's written in english steam)

I think they look nice. And are a right representation of the outdated arsenal of the Insurgents.

Security uses that two, not insurgents, I preffer to leave outdated weapons on insurgents, because just like in the real war, they don't have any modern equipment except night vision.

At the end of the day, war is not about beauty and elegance, so soldiers are issued whatever is proven to be useful. I wouldn't be surprised if they keep issuing a 100 year old weapon only because it was so good nothing nowadays can top it.

Efficiency is the most important thing. The Russian army was issuing original AK47 until about 10 years ago or so, because they were so reliable, only recently they switched to AK12 or whatever.

China also used AK47 until they developed their QBZ-95.

I'm not talking about beauty and elegance, I just say they are outdated and sure ain't in use within US forces weapon arsenal. Nowadays they use more sophisticated weapons, and I like to mod my Insurgency to match modern day warfare.

I learned to like the fal/l1a1 alot again with this shader mod (plus all other vanilla guns):

but the g3's are very nice alternatives, no bugs and nice animations, better than any other mod. I'm w8ing for someone to update the textures/shaders tho:

For AC-556,FA-MAS mod works very good with holographic-sight (other optical-sights are too high for aiming.

The famas model looks nice but you have to spend a point(s) on optics to make it usable, the irons are litterally horse crap. Also the optics look mega small on it, like really really small..
