How to turn off text chat and server messages?

On the bottom left there is a constant feed of information and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ messages. I know many people doesn't find it distracting, but i automatically checking on it and i cant help myself. Its very annoying cause its distracting so i want to turn the feed off. If someone could tell me how to do it, i would appreciate.

I tried the following commands with no avail:
cl_drawhud 0
cl_disablehtmlmotd 1
hud_saytext 0
ignoremsg 2

Hell if someone know how to turn off votes (appearing on the left side and not going away until you press f1 or f2) it would be usefull as well.

You want this command:

hud_saytext_time 0

According to this, 12 is the default value.

Yep. Make a text file, paste hud_saytext_time 0 into it, rename the file to autoexec.cfg (be sure to actually change the extension from .txt to .cfg), and place it in Steam\SteamApps\common\insurgency2\insurgency\cfg

That should apply the command every time you launch the game.
