controller not found

i have been trying use xbox 360 afterglow controller to play insurgency but when i go in game and go to options to enable controller it says no controller found..i have done everything else with the configs and everything and steam recognizes my controller but insurgency cant find it..i would greatly apreciate some help with this as of right now im at a stand still with using my controller...thanks

Don't use an xbox controller. Don't use ANY controller, or you will get destroyed. Use a mouse and keyboard.

If you REALLY wan't to use an controller, I don't believe xbox is compatible with this game.

thats not the point tho..i use mouse and keyboard but i like controller..and yeah its compatible i know..so thanks but no thanks..i have done the exec controller i finally got it to reconize controller but now when i change my sensitivity in my config file and then exec controller in game it doesnt change my sensitivity at all..thanks for the help

well guys i exited out game and went back in and its saying controller not found again..anyone have an ideal of why it keeps doing this

This shouldn't be an issue. It was a selling pint for me. In the Game details it was clearly stated as having full controller support.

After the last major update about 2 months ago, controller configs basically all messed up. Don't get your hopes up getting a response from any developers. Sometimes, you just need to restart your computer while the controller is still plugged in. Then type exec controller before joining a server. I now use steam controller support in big picture mode, it is especially useful for anti deadzones and you don't have to type exec controller at all. Not very Intuitive though. PM me if you need assistance. Also, check you devices in Windows to see if it is actually functional.

Thanks. It is functioning properly. The controller works in game but does not get recognised via the menu. Also some of the controlls (i.e radial menu) do not work at all. And if the glitches I am getting are anything to go by, the game/my system is the issue here.

Sorry to say, it might be your game/system. I been using a ps3 controller since 2015 and have never witnessed anything saying "controller not found" Try verifying cache or reinstalling... although you probably already tried that. Also, I use scarlet crush to make my computer think i am using an xbox controller. Follow this link and follow it step by step (press pause if you have to...it's really easy) I don't see why it wouldn't work for a ps4 controller. I am thinking this will eliminate any compatibility issues with windows since microsoft see's it as another microsoft product. motioninjoy and better ds4 are garbage.

The game dev programmed in actual Playstation icons for this title. It most likely is just a bug with the game/my system. If I could constently install and reinstall I would but I am on a mobile network.
