I've reinstalled battleye twice, I've ran it as administrator, I've verified my game files and I still get kicked out of the match and back to the main menu with a "Client not responding" error message. Checked my internet speed and I'm currently at around 6Mbps down and 5Mbps up with around 22ms ping (this has never been an issue prior to the BE update and I'm using an ethernet cable). I'm running AVG as an anti-virus, I've attempted disabling it to remedy this and it still has had no effect.
I've spent 1200+ hours playing Insurgency and this is the first time it has been unplayable and I've just spent the last 3 hours trying to fix it.
specs:
Sapphire radeon R9 270x 2gb GPU
8gb corsair vegeance RAM
1tb seagate barracuda HDD
AMD FX-6300 CPU
edit: id just like to also point out friends have been encountering cheaters despite the battleye system being introduced.
I have had random disconnects due to the listed reason "Client not responding". It is seemingly random and despite verifying game cache and reinstalling battleye MULTIPLE TIMES the game still refuses to work correctly, often kicking me on a complete whim. This occurs on every server, every gamemode. THe only place is does not happen is on solo.
I restarted my computer to see if that was related. No change. I have also attempted to check if it is to do with background processes or the computer itself. It isn't. I have not yet dtermined whether the problem is due to battleye or the insurgency game, but based on when the error started happening, it's safe to assume the problem is battleye.
Funnily enough, it is nothing to do with my internet, as I have fast internet and use ethernet. My ping is often lower than 30ms and my client IS responding. I am able to kill other players and be killed as usual, so why am I being disconnected.
i checked the ingame console and there are LOTS of errors. I thought it's maybe to do with game file integrity but apparently not. I have attempted almost every fix available (except a full reinstall, that's a last resort) but to no avail. Until this is fixed, I will frequently update me progress on eliminating this issue regularly, until I work out; (1) What the cause of the problem is. (2) How to fix it.
Until then, i recommend anyone with this issue subscribe to this discussion, and help work out the problem so we can fix the error as soon as possible.
EDIT: Question: Is everyone here using ethernet? I want to know what we're working with here.
Edit: The error thing came back. Damn.
This is quite interesting. I reinstalled once, and it fixed some of the problems but not all. I'll reinstall again and see if that makes any difference. This was very helpful, thank-you.
