Report a translation problem
and see if there is anything in "console.log" (in "insurgency" folder)
I added -condebug to the arguments, but never got any console.log file to generate. I trimmed it down and down until I eventually just tried
>srcds -condebug
but still nothing. It's as if the .exe is just an empty file
Open the event viewer and under either application or system look for the reason why. (usually will have a red icon that says error)

Looked up a bit of it, nothing very helpful. The .tmp files referenced don't even exist
No, I've done all of the "standard" nonsense. I've tried running it in every conceivable configuration of compatibility, administrator, and other flags like 'disable desktop composition' and such.
I've gone through and made sure it's integrity is verified through steam about 10 times, both via steamCMD and the client. All checks out.
Just to be sure I downloaded the entire directory onto my home computer (w7 64-bit), works like a charm. Same files, not independantly from Steam.
This is kind of ridiculous.
2010 (x86),
2013 (x64) and (x86)
and both the 2010 and the 2013(x64) said they were already installed.
The 2013 (x86), however, gave some weird "error checking previous install" message, so I proceeded to let it repair/install, and it seems to be working now.
Thanks! The console is open and all that, I'll see if it's really working now
