SourceMod Admins

Guys

I am trying to give map change access to some of my guys on SourceMod admin, however it doesn't work. What commands should they be using to be able to change maps?

Change maps ingame is possible for steam users who have been added in sourcemod file (open console, type 'sm_admin' to obtain admin console).

They tried that, but they are getting " not allowed access". I looked and I have given them the appropriate permissions

Your logs are correct ? No errors when you start the server ?

I had this problem when my server had lost connection to Steam servers.
You should get 2 log entries for a client connecting:

L 08/14/2014 - 08:41:16: "GiZ<8><STEAM_1:1:11391458><>" connected, address "127.0.0.1:27005"
L 08/14/2014 - 08:41:17: "GiZ<8><STEAM_1:1:11391458><STEAM_1:1:11391458>" STEAM USERID validated

I was not getting the second line, and SourceMod wasn't giving access.
If this is the problem you're having, you need to change a setting in /addons/sourcemod/configs/core.cfg:

"SteamAuthstringValidation"     "no"

Just tried that, but still no sucess.
The message shown he is getting is "sm you have no access to this command"

If they are getting "You do not have access to this command" they are not entered correctly in the config file. I enter all my admins in to the admins_simple.ini file. If you enter them in the admins.cfg you have to be careful adding them, you might have a parsing error in the .cfg.

I'm having similar issues, maybe because the sm_map command doesn't take 2 parameters (i.e. "sm_map buhriz_coop checkpoint")? Haven't checked, just throwing out ideas.

In looking at the SM Admin Commands, if I am understanding correctly, the command for changing maps would be "sm_map <Buhriz>", correct? Is that a command for the console or the chat area?

Sourcemod has a built in admin menu you can utlize within game without opening the console. You just need to bind a key to it .. I use B. In the console window type without quotes "bind b sm_admin" and now as long as you are listed as an admin in the sourcemod configs the menu will come up for you in game. You can change maps, kick, ban and do other things.

The problem is my guys cant access the admin menu. If they put sm_admin in the console, they are told they don't have access.

How are you getting the admins STEAM ID's ??
Use this tool http://steamidfinder.com/ Input their community id url from their profile page. Click search. This will give you their correct STEAM ID #.
I think there is a bug, I recently added a new admin, I got his STEAM ID from the console
It was STEAM_1:1:xxxxxxx. I entered it and he kept telling me it didn't work. Turns out that Ins and CS:GO prefix STEAM ID's in game wrong OR SourceMod is wrong. His id turned out to be STEAM_0:1:xxxxxx after using the above tool.
I am pretty sure you have to update to the newest version of SourceMod. Link below:

Now we have given rights to several players to this menu, works for all of them except me, thought perhaps was my keyboard because of a spill I had a while back so thought ok, will replace the keyboard, still cannot go to next, back or exit the sm_admin menu, the other keys work fine! Funny part is We have 3 computer in house, works on 2 fine, just not me :( can someone help me here .. so frustrated.

Which cfg file? Where exactly is it ? please note my server is separate from my gaming computer, so am I adding this to my personal computer or to my server files? Basically 4 computers in house 1 is for our Insurgency server'a running default Souce Mod settings. The others are our gaming pc's. all but my personal gaming computer accepts the sm_adm in game keys 1-0 but my persosnal pc does not accept binding 7 -9 so I basically cannot exit out of the menu and have to quit my game and restart Insugency. So what i don't understand is why they work on all pc's except mine.
