question about metamod.vdf,sourcemod and metamod??

I have installed sourcemod and metamod but every time I type in meta list I get unknown command "meta" when i launch a server is there something I am suppsoe to configure specifically in metamod.vdf or in server.cfg when i want to run sourcemod and metamod.
Does anyone know which versions of sourcemod and metamod are working and how is the metamod.vdf supposer to look like.

You not suppose to change the metamod.vdf. Leave it alone.
You just have to find the right version of sourcemod to have it load it up. Sourcemod is a plugin for metamod.
If you can't even load up the meta command then you install it wrong or that version not working.

did u use steamcmd to install your server or did u use the insurgency server in tools on steam?

There's no difference between Steam and SteamCMD.

also there is no working fork of MetaMod/Sourcemod for 64bit SRCDS so use the 32bit exe instead.
