[Mac] Fix for delayed sound?

I've seen other people with this problem on Mac and I was wondering if there's any official word on it? No one else ever seemed to get an answer.

All sounds seem to be delayed by 500ms to 1 second which is incredibly irritating as you might imagine.
I've tried verifying game cache, reinstalling multiple times, using low, mid, high graphics settings, lowering sound quality – no difference.

Specs:
i7 3.4GHz
8GB RAM
NIVIDIA GTX 680MX 2GB

I have the same problem on both of my macs. No problem on windows though.

Is there really no official word on this? Or does anyone with a mac does not have this problem? Otherwise I would think it actually affects all macs.

Quite the important bug because there's no way to enjoy the game like this.

Hello man,

Glad someone else finally chipped in on this. I'm willing to bet it affects all Macs and either lots of people just somehow don't really notice, or there aren't that many people playing on Mac.
I played again recently in Mac OS and it's still exactly the same, almost a year later. Playing in Windows (on the same machine) works perfectly.

Yup me too, just bought the game, great game, but clearly unplayable with this major sound delay. Can't wait for an update to come out.

I wouldn't hold your breath, as my original post was almost a year ago and there were people with the issue even before then. Bit of a shame really.

hey dudes ! same problem on a mac book pro try this command below in the console, it's an old fix I found for counter strike which is on the same graphic engine.
0.03 is the lowest value that works for me but feel free to try different ones. I think default is 0.1
You have to get close to zero without f**ing up the sound.
