Really low FPS on linux
I have two identical computers. One running Ubuntu MATE, one Windows 7.
Specs:
GTX 650Ti (Nvidia-367 Driver)
8Gb DDR3 1333 RAM
Core 2 Quad Q9650 other one has Q9300

On Windows I can run this game on MAX with 60+ FPS
On my linux machine however I have everything below what it possibly can be and its barely scratching 60FPS, dropping to 30/15 the more bots/players are on screen.

When I load a map with just myself the FPS stay high.

This is strange since in the past it was much better. When this game was first released on linux I played it at high settings on my relatively low spec laptop.
Lenovo (z580) Gt630m with Core i5 3220.

I would rank myself as a very experienced linux user and programmer. I tried alternate older drivers and distros. Tweaked source engine configs with no result.

This is strange because other source games, Left 4 Dead 2, Portal 2, CSGO all run perfectly at max settings on my machines with almost no difference between the linux and windows machine.

Has there been any large changes to the rendering system or is the linux build currently just very unoptimized?

As of now the performance is so bad I consider this a bug. So i posted it in the Technical Support section.

To my knowledge, I think it is an optimization problem. Due to the fact that your Windows machine runs this on >60 FPS and your Linux machine runs on <30 FPS.

I would like it to be better optimized for Linux as well.

It's your computer.:steammocking:
I have the same problem. Under Windows I can run this game in 4k with > 100 fps. On Linux it is between 2 and 4 fps. I found out that it will be fixed when you lower your resolution for just one step. But still from time to time (esp. when going into a menu) it will drop down to ¨9 fps. Changing the resolution will help it again. But it is annoying as ♥♥♥♥ ...

Linux: AntergOS (Arch devirat)
CPU: Intel Xeon v3 1230
GPU: GeForce 770 GTX
