I would suggest downloading the drivers directly from the Geforce website, and not the Geforce app. https://www.geforce.com/drivers
It's highly unlikely that Insurgency is the main cause for this.
I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue with Insurgency specifically, so it's very likely that it's a problem with your computer. Are you certain it only happens with Insurgency?
Other than updating or re-installing windows, the next thing I would suggest is checking for incompatabilities with any antivirus you might have, and doing a full scan of your computer.
I'm afraid I can't help you much more than that. You may have to do some Google-fu to find a fix. Try searching for other people that have had issues with that driver version or windows updates.
go to launch options
add: "-w 1680 -h 1050" (or ur resolution that is just mine)
save
run and never have to install ur gpu driver every damn time u try to launch it when having this problem

Dunno why it was merged but here is solution what worked for me.
!!!Important!!! - Download driver from geforce website and save it somewhere where u can find it! U won't be able to access internet in safe mode.
Friend told me to use program called DDU, it's to clean your drivers and disable Microsofts Basic Render driver. U have to run it in safe mode (press windows button and search for msconfig, launch settings and run in safe mode (minimal), then launch the program DDU and i would suggest clicking to remove cache, files and such (4th option) and then clicking clean and reset), don't worry about being in low resolution, then u just click exe file from geforce to install driver and then reset again just for safety, and u should be good to go.
Don't wanna be rude but f*ck this microsoft render sh*t. Hope it helps
To clarify:
NOTE: You will be losing all of your graphics card's settings, make sure you have taken note of them beforehand.
Step 1) Go to your graphics card manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and download the appropriate, up-to-date driver for your integrated or dedicated graphics card. Save it somewhere you can easily find it.
Step 2) Download the latest version of Display Driver Uninstaller from here[www.wagnardsoft.com]. Save it somewhere you can easily find it.
Step 3) Restart your computer and boot Windows into safe mode; 'Minimal' or just 'safe mode' will work fine. The method for this varies by your version of Windows, so you will need to use Google[lmgtfy.com].
Step 4) Once you're in safe mode, open DDU. It's a self-extracting archive, so just click 'extract' and a new folder should be placed in the same directory as the file.
Step 5) Navigate to the newly created DDU folder and open Display Driver Uninstaller.exe. I recommend using it to disable Windows automatically updating graphics drivers. You should also go into the options and check all of the removal options.
Step 6) Once you've changed the settings, go back to the main screen and click 'Clean and restart'. The program will do the work for you, so LEAVE IT ALONE.
Step 7) Restart the computer. It should boot normally. YOUR RESOLUTION WILL BE VERY LOW, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THIS.
Step 8) Find the driver you downloaded earlier and install it. Your resolution should return to normal at some point during the installation.
Step 9) Restart your computer again, your drivers should now be fully functional and up-to-date.
i forced the game to launch in my res and boom i can play again
