7200 wood is what one person in the game manages to produce by working 8650 years 😅 (1440 cycles with a tier 1 cutter, that got 6 workers)
Yup. I've done that, too. My most recent city has two buildings I can evolve, and I have the resources for it, but can't actually do it.
I also have a bunch of ancient buildings that I repaired but can't evolve. I just think it's something that'll get fixed/adjusted in future patches.
Hello!
I hope this helps, but please feel free to reach out if it doesn’t quite do the trick ^^
To evolve a building, here’s what you need to do:
1- Check if the cultural building can evolve. Only buildings with an arrow icon in the Building Tree are eligible for evolution.
2- Unlock the next age’s evolution. For example, if you’ve built a Templum in Antiquity, you’ll need to unlock the Church in the Middle Ages using the blueprint.
3- Make sure your first cultural building is repaired, if necessary.
4- If all the conditions are met, select the target building (Templum), click on the “Evolution” banner, and then hit the “Evolve” button.
For example my Emporium can evolve to a Port De Sel while the new building would be called Portus. But Port De Sel and Portus have identical stats, have they ?
Together with the repair costs evolving a building is more expensive than building a new one. Unless I missed something the only advantage in evolving a building is the prime location the existing building is in.
Only Ancient era buildings can evolve.. they have the right expandable menu that turns green if you have enough resources for it.
Sometimes the 'evolves to' building doesn't seem to be findable/unlockable in the medieval era menu so you gotta look at all your buildings to see if one of them does. (unlocking new buildings in the Medieval Era increases the chances of finding one that does let you evolve your ancient era building). I think there's some kinks to be ironed out to get all the names matcing...
Is there still the bug where if a building that can evolve has two evolution options you can't actually choose between them even though they are unlocked?
