House of Grievances Trust Mechanic Needs Help!
Love this game so far. Having so much fun fiddling with everything I can, min-maxing, and I'm super happy to have gotten 100/100 in the ancient Era earlier today!

That said, getting a perfect score in the medieval era is proving to be a challenge because I can't figure out how to unlock the 3 Wonders from the House of Grievances' political trust system. I see and think I understand the idea behind the trust "tree":
Please the factions of a particular culture type (Production, Military, Religion, Education, Trade, and Political) and you will reach the next level in the tree and unlock a new bonus. Displease the factions and you will lose a level and get maluses.

What's frustrating is that while bonuses seem to get unlocked sometimes, it's never too clear to me why and how.

I understand from the tooltips and the in-game encyclopedia that building culture buildings and passing edicts will generate trust with the associated culture, but I can't tell by how much.

So I pass 2-3 Trade edicts in a row for the Trade factions, build a bunch of the Trade culture buildings, but it doesn't seem to increase my level on the trust "tree" in the House of Grievances. It just stays in the first position. Meanwhile my Education trust level is maxed out, but I don't really know why!

I get the impression that this mechanic is very much incomplete and/or bugged out.

What would help is to know exactly what is affecting the trust levels and by exactly how much, so that I can optimize unlocking the wonders at the top of the "tree" for the Production, Trade and Political factions.

If the devs could add a way to see where your political trust level is exactly in the "tree" at the House of Grievances, instead of just the bonuses going green when they are unlocked, that would be a huge help.

Also maybe a notification when a trust level is unlocked, they do offer pretty great bonuses after all!

One thing I will try is to see if enacting longer edicts affects the trust level more than shorter edicts. But without a way of tracking the actual trust value, I'm really driving blind!

If anyone has a better understanding of the mechanic, please let me know!

If the devs actually read this wall of text, thank you so much for making such a cool game! Please keep it up!

TLDR: House of Grievances Trust mechanic is really unclear. How do I get the max trust level ASAP to unlock the unfinished wonders and get a perfect medieval era score???

EDIT: THERE IS A WAY TO SEE YOUR LEVEL OF POLITICAL AUTHORITY TRUST! You need to hover over each culture symbol in the House of Grievances screen. Maybe something to make more obvious in the future devs... Also, it would be nice to know how much trust is required for each Step in the Bonuses And Penalties "tree". And how much trust each action will give each political authority.

Hello PraxisLP,

First of all, congrats on getting 100/100 in Antiquity! It’s great to see players really dive in and figure out the game’s mechanics.

Regarding the House of Grievances and your level of Political Authority Trust, I’ve taken note of your feedback. That’s exactly what early access is for—seeing what’s clear and what’s not, so we can improve the overall experience.

Enjoy the game, and happy building!

Thanks for reading and responding! The political authority trust system in the medieval era needs to be explained better for sure! I'm getting close to finishing my medieval era with a perfect score... 🤞
