The issue at hand is you should not be buying units you don't need or aren't going to use effectively. In game modes like destruction, I don't mind if you break the bank because you're half dead. But I've watched a lot of people buy stuff in Economy just because they had points to spend, and they were on a side with no fighting at all and they just kept reinforcing it until the grid had several dozen tanks in it.
The issue comes from the fact that people seem to see tanks or mobile armor of any quality as "invulnerable" to infantry.
When they really aren't.
These, for example, are the less advanced PACT ATGM (15 x 4, the transports were discarded for scouting missions to determine the presence of 4x PIVADS and 4x APCs + dismounts in that forest). The air strikes take out most of the very expensive PIVADS (which should not ever replace Chaps, Avengers, and Hawks), the Faktoriyas snipe the CP, and then pick off 4 additional PIVADS when they appear to reinforce.

Also notice that I have 6 Air Superiority Migs just sitting in my airport, waiting to be used to shoot down any spam bombers I see. Didn't see any jet spam so I ended up just focusing on the infantry.
