Adding friends in-game

Hi.

I've been playing WALB with a friend of mine, but can't seem to add him as a friend in-game. I have never added friend in these games, but for such a MP-dependent game, the procedure can't be that complicated, right?

I've clicked the add friend button when inside the game room, confirmed that I want to add him to my friends list, but when I go and check the friends list, it still comes up empty. This happens regardless of who is hosting the session. And he can't add me to his list of friend either.

Are we doing something wrong or is there some sort of bug?

Mhm, have you tried adding each other directly? When at your friendslist, there should be an option "Add friend" and you have to type in the login (not nickname!) of your mate. Same result?

I think your friend might have to go to his friends list and accept your invite, if im understanding you correctly.

When you say friends list, you mean that blue button in the right-hand console? Because when I press it, nothing happens. And still get the 0 friends online message. maybe I'm looking in the wong place?

Nevermind!
I just found it.
I was definitely looking in the wrong place, although, now that I've found the friends list, I have to say the path to get there isn't the most intuitive.

I can see that my "add friend" request is in standby, probably because my frind doens't know he has to go to his friend's list to confirm it. We'll sort it out tonight.

i tried adding my friend and he tried adding me but neither of us got an invite in our friendslist and when trying to add him the game says there is no one with that username both nickname and login name we even tried steam acc name

let your friend write something in the chat. then when his message plops up click on his nam and write him back (should be written in red).
After that click on the add to friendlist button in the lower right corner and he should get your request.
