Butterfly ring bugged?

I am beside myself with frustration, I still can't identify the Butterfly ring. I now have 32 Identify for frikkin sake :D

It might just need a super-high Identify. I did it, but I have a +10 ID item I keep for this purpose... may base skill was 27, and that wasn't enough.

Few minutes after I wrote this, I actually discoverd that the old lady right in the middle of Kalindraur can identify. After 40 hours of gameplay. Facepalm.

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't know that until I just read it.

I thought that meant she could train you in Identify.

This bugged me, too. I was finally able to identify it at I think 35 or 36 skill (I knew about the NPC, but wanted to find out what skill it took).

It just has a high difficulty because of how many modifiers it has on it. It's doable, but difficult.
EDIT: I'll do some tests to see if there's some issue with how hard it is making the difficulty.
