Android save transfer

Hey im trying to transfer over my save from android to pc, Im transfering the Savegame XmL file, the Savegame backup file and the savegame screenshot, and its not working. What all do i need to move over?

Exporting/Importing Savegames

PC:
On PC, the save files are located in C:\Users\your_username\AppData\LocalLow\Red Plume LLC\Caves of Lore. A save contains four files: SAVEGAME0.xml, SAVEGAMEsaveScreenshot0.PNG, SAVEGAMEBackupSave0, and SAVEGAMEsaveScreenshot0Backup.PNG. The two backup files are optional as they are only used for restoring the game. Note that the 0 should be replaced with the save number (Autosave is 8).
Note, if playing on Linux using proton, the files will be in ~/.steam/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/2227130/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Red Plume LLC/Caves of Lore/

Android:
On Android, the save files are located in Android/data/com.RedPlumeLLC.COL/files. Note that some file explorer apps, notably Google's files app will not show the contents of the data folder. If that happens, try downloading a third party file explorer from the Play Store, I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.marc.files.

Its just simply not working. Im going from android to PC, I dont understand changing the save numbers though. i have Savegame2 screenshot2 exc. why would i need to change them. i Saved my game under 0, and transferred all 4 0 files over, didnt work

I have a feeling it's related to cloud saves. Ignore the number renaming part. Can you try disabling cloud saves, and then copying them in?

I disabled cloud saves, replaced the files and still doesn't show up. I then deleted the savegame0 files on my pc compeltey, then brought over my savegame0 files from android and nothing shows up. Have anything else to try by chance? Would be awesome to go back and forth

I am unsure why that wouldn't work. I know others have done this before. Can you tell me what directory you are placing them in?

I would love to support some kind of import feature, but that would require some kind of place for me to store your files, which is not only an area I am unfamiliar with but might also would require changes to the agreements I have with various platforms. I will see if there is some established way to do this, but I have a feeling it will be quite complicated.

Ah, that's your problem. Those are internal testing saves. Use this directory:

C:\Users\*yourusername*\AppData\LocalLow\Red Plume LLC\Caves of Lore
(F seems to be where you install, but it might be C:\ if windows is installed there)
