what does Magic Find do in attributes ?

If it works like most other games it should affect drop rate/drop rarity from enemies. How well it functions in this game is beyond me though. I've had Sarah with 1025% on the stat screen alongside a chest armor exclusive affix granting 2.8x magic find and I don't know if it made a discernible improvement to drops while farming the character sets, I would still regularly not get a single piece in a run. I was also running my Mammon with 900% and the same chest exclusive affix. So yeah, maybe it does something, maybe it has an invisible cap but the number can keep going up, maybe it is really marginal changes, maybe I'm very unlucky, maybe it doesn't affect item drops or rarity and we need them to clarify.
