Symbol Puzzle - Wat??

During the splitting phase of the game, ( the first one i've seen ) there is a puzzle where there are three symbols floating and a bunch of levers. I have reproduced all the symbols but quite frankly am not seeing the point of this puzzle.

Can anybody lend some help?

create a duplicate of the symbols that appear. The buttons select the symbol to recreate and you just hit the levers to do it. It seems easy, but trust me, its gets harder later in the game.

Well if that's what i'm supposed to do thats exactly what I did. Nothing happened. Odd i'll try it again.

Make sure you carefully look at them, they get confusing sometimes, the U might be on the bottom or top. and the slashes might not even be slashes, they might be < or >

Im starring a the very finate details down the the pixle. Everything is identical. No idea what i'm doing wrong X_X

Are the symbols your recreating lined up? X has to be under X and such

Yea they are exactly lined up. I feel like i've ran into a bug. When i quit the game and restarted the door was open then promptly closed.

Okay i've figured it out.

I was correct that all the correct symbols/levers were pulled.

I re went into each of the 3 symbols and made sure that all the levers were grlowing green.

Not sure what that should matter (as all the correct symbols are showing in pairs) but it did the trick.

This involved going into each symbol and pulling each lover 2-3 times until the symbol both showed in the air and the level also glowed green.

Sounds like you were at 2nd stage of those puzzles. Start with all levers blue, and tile at the left side. Select all levers that are on drawing 1, but not 2, then push next tile, now you are drawing on both 1st and 2nd, again add all missing from 1, and all that is missing on 2 that is not on 3rd image ... and so on.

I still cant figure out what to do exactly. When i start the puzzle, do i pull the 2 levers to create a symbol and then step on the trigger below the floating symbol ? When a second symbol below appears - does that mean i got ot wrong or do i need to recreate that too ?
Im kinda confused , i had no problem with any of the other puzzles, but this is so irritating :(

You should step on trigger to chose which symbol you're reproducing and then pull the levers to draw it. Repeat the operation until all symbols are drawn.
