Don't Use A Phob GCC
I booted the game up with my phob plugged in and the mayflash adapter set to PC mode (this works for rivals so i wasn't sure what was up). luckily I have a regular official gamecube controller but just something to bring attention to. Maybe a patch or fix would help.

phobb gcc + official adapter works so I guess don't use mayflash if you have a Phob?

The game has native support. Use the Wii U/Switch setting. Should fix things right up
