Hi guys, I'm one of the devs, and mantainer of the linux/mac versions. Nice to meet you all here!

I've just uploaded a fix for both a launcher crash and the missing ncurses5 problem.
Let's try to be organized, post all your linux&mac related issues here, and we'll do our best to fix them asap.

Weapon trails have been known to crash Linux clients. I'd start with turning that off

That config file is where it's at, I used that and it worked. Now I'm in 1080p. Would've taken me forever to figure that out thank you.

So many visual bugs on Linux. I gave up and dual boot into Windows to play RO. Currently enjoying higher fps with weapon trails. Good times

I have ran into a problem in the hp and magic bar, where it's supposed to show your face in the circle it's just a gray box. If I click on another players character their picture also shows up as a gray square.

Then when I close the game the time on my computer is a grayed out box. Also just like the characters picture next to the hp and mp bar. one last thing after closing the game the whole computer becomes unresponsive and can't do anything. I have to manually turn off the computer and back on again. Other than that I have no other issues and the game runs perfectly.

Thanks for maintaining a linux version of this! I can play just fine minus occasional crashing with no given error message textures not appearing correctly in character creation.

I was playing on ubuntu 14.04 and all characters were naked (male characters were in two pieces, probably because their pants were missing)

Diverse problems.

Was using driver NVIDIA-Linux-x86-310.44 for a long time now.Had no problems with the game, but when i updated to the latest 349.16 or 352.30 colors started flickering wild and antialiasing did not work anymore.Had to go back to version 310.44 to fix this(Ambient occlusion does not work at all, it's greyed out).My card is a GeForce GT 640.Also the client does not automatically use the screen resolution.Had to change it to screens resolution manually, or else everything is blurry because of low resolution.And the client crashes everytime an archer shoots an arrow.This is a huge problem.I had to turn off beams in the settings to stop the crashes.The graphics need to be enhanced in the linux client overall.

I'm getting randomly logged out of ubuntu 14.04 while playing regnum. I'm not sure what is causing this yet.

My AMD 6950 cards are erroring out big time for some reason when trying to play on Ubuntu 14.04.

Can be shading, open up config file and search for anything doing with shading and disable it, try that and check if it works
