In most cases, a game not launching at all suggests a permissions issue, which can be solved by the steps in our troubleshooting guide[ubi.li]. In particular from the guide, please make sure you are running the game with administrator rights, you've verified the game files, you've got your graphics drivers and Windows install fully updated, and you've (at least temporarily, for testing) deactivated all background programs.
Those steps should make sure Steam (and your other launchers) is correctly able to launch the game.
If it still doesn't work, please also try reinstalling Ubisoft Connect itself, using our guide here[www.ubisoft.com].
Lemme know if that solves it
Thanks for sharing your insights there as well, Geroyuni - that's really unusual that Ubisoft Connect didn't automatically install alongside Trackmania. If that happens again with any other Ubisoft games, please let us know, as we'd surely like to investigate that :)

Hey,
Thank you for replying, I appreciate the help! I found out it was a problem with the Ubisoft Connect itself and I couldn't launch any Ubisoft titles at all. I got everything working again by closing Ubisoft Connect in the Task Manager and relaunching it. Now everything works perfectly fine again. :)
Fantastic to hear that it's resolved now, Daisy :) Happy racing!
Thanks for letting me know about this, Kenjara! Sorry about this issue :(
I've had a look around and I can't find any other reports of this issue internally, so I'm very confident we'll be able to solve this with some troubleshooting. Can you check the steps from my previous post here - that's the troubleshooting guide[ubi.li] and reinstalling Ubisoft Connect[www.ubisoft.com] - and see if it still happens? If so, I'd certainly like to gather some further details so that we can investigate from our end.
Let me know if I can clarify that!

I have looked at the trouble shooting. If I reinstall Ubisoft connect does it find the installed games again easily enough. I have Anno 1800 installed directly through Ubisoft. I have some more info, occasionally when the Ubisoft launcher starts up it will pop up the windows security dialog 3 times in a row, perhaps when its updating or something. And after waking from sleep Anno also fails to launch unless I quit Ubisoft and relaunch a game.
Hey Kenjara,
Reinstalling Ubisoft Connect won't impact your games and they should be immediately available again once it's been installed.
Are you running the client as an admin as per the troubleshooting guide?
- Ubisoft Support
I have now and its working on wake from sleep. The thing that puzzles me though is if it needs admin rights, why does it not ensure that it install with them? I respect that Windows permissions are a minefield, being a .Net developer myself.
Thanks for the update Kenjara, glad to hear it's working now!
As we're not developers of the client, rather we're Ubisoft Support, we wouldn't be able to speculate the exact reasoning, but I'd imagine Windows permissions playing a role as you've noted.
If there's anything more we can help with in future, please do let us know!
