Drifting at low speed is obnoxiously inconsistent
One time I properly slide the other 19 times I just brake turn
Respawning on the same checkpoint over and over sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt
Turn first, brake first, release gas or dont it seemingly makes no difference

Low speed drifting is called neosliding, look it up. Wirtual has a video on it. It's a bit more difficult but is possible.

Well you simply won't drift below certain speed, that's just how it works. You also need to be fullsteering for like 0.5s, then braking - this is critically important. And on top of that it can be circumvented completely with neoslide, which just forces a drift regardless of speed or the fact you're in a slide already

Then how come it still works sometimes
Respawning on the same checkpoint same speed theres seemingly no consistency in the outcome

idk, would need to see the footage with inputs to say why you have issue with it, but it is in fact consistent if you do it properly

skill issue tbh

are you using keyboard or controller? if you are using a controller then part of the issue might be that you are actually not fullsteering (100%) instead its like 95% which messes with the input order to drift. (plugins can help by showing the steering %, in case you dindnt know about plugins :) ) if you are using keyboard then you are most likely getting the sequence/timing wrong"applies for contrroller as well" (fullsteer for 0.5 sec > tap(hold) break should = drift) :) and just so you know i still feil 30% of the time when i try to start a drift at low speeds.
