FAQ following the Starter Access update & new offer announcement

After the announcement of the new Trackmania offer and the Starter Access update, we retrieved the most common questions.

1. What does those new changes mean?

The Standard and the Club access are merging into a new CLUB ACCESS for 19.99€/$19.99 per year. The Starter Access is now limited to 10 campaign tracks for free each season.

2. Will microtransactions be added in-game?

No, there are no microtransactions planned to be added in Trackmania.

3. Do I still have to pay for the Club Access on PC and on console separately, or will it merge too?

Yes, you will need to buy the Access on each platform you play on. Unfortunately, the accesses are not cross-buy, as they depend on its third-party stores.

4. Will my current remaining Club Access time be extended by 1/3rd when it gets cheaper?

Your current Club Access will expire at its initial expiration date.

5. Will there still be a reduced price for a 3-year access?

No, the 3-year Club Access offer won’t be available anymore after this update. If you decide to buy 3 years with the new Club Access, it will cost the same price as the current 3-years Club Access offer.

6. What about people who paid the full price for a 3-years access already?

You will keep your Club Access for 3 years: the 3-years Club Access deal costs the same as 3 years of the new Club Access.

7. If I have the Standard Access, what happens if I buy the new Club Access?

If you buy the new Club Access from January 9th:

• You will have one full year of Club Access.
  
• Half of your remaining days of Standard access will be added to your Club Access.

For example, if you have 6 months of remaining Standard Access and buy the 1-year Club Access from January 9th, you will get an extra 3 months of Club Access added, making it 15 months in total.

8. What does that mean for my current Standard Access?

You will keep your Standard Access until it runs out.

9. What does that mean for Ranked?

Players with the Starter Access will have access to the 25 campaign tracks. We will monitor to see if we need to apply some restrictions to Starter players, but that's not the actual plan.

10. Is there a way to gift access to my friends?

No, third-party stores need to implement this feature on their side.

11. Why did you decide to restrict Starter Access on the campaign, while Arcade/Ranked/Royal servers cost more to run than offline maps?

In Trackmania, playing the official campaign in solo doesn’t mean it’s offline. Leaderboards and records are more expensive to handle than online servers. Besides, we aimed to find a better balance between the Club Access and the Free Access. In that case, we decided to give free players the opportunity to play online with their friends as a team and to leave the full campaign for players with the Club Access.

12. Will it prompt more updates towards the training campaign?

We are thinking about updating the training campaign, but we don't have a release date yet.
