Trackmania
Trackmania = lag
My computer can run CS:GO at a solid 60+ fps, but I can barely even get a solid 30 fps on a godamn, racing game? IT'S A RACING GAME FOR (gods) SAKE! ARE YOU TELLING ME, UBISOFT CAN'T EVEN MAKE A FEW STUPID OPTIMISATIONS OR ADD FEW MORE SETTINGS TO INCREASE FRAME RATE? REALLY??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plz ubisoft, I want frames, and I shouldn't need to have to buy a new computer for that.

I understand your frustration with the performance of the racing game on your computer, especially when compared to the smooth gameplay you achieve in CS:GO. Optimization can vary from game to game, and it's possible that the racing game you're playing may require different hardware resources or have different optimization priorities. While it can be disappointing when a game doesn't meet your performance expectations, it's important to keep in mind that game development involves a variety of factors, including technical limitations and the need to cater to a wide range of hardware configurations. Providing feedback to Ubisoft about your specific performance concerns may help them identify areas for improvement, but upgrading your computer's hardware might be necessary to achieve the desired frame rates in certain demanding games.

You are wondering why your computer can't run a game released in 2020 at 60FPS while using a game released in 2012 as a benchmark?

cs:go is more demanding. Also, sure. How I'm saying it is probably in the wrong way, but my point still stands, Trackmania should be optimised more.
I agree that game could be more optimized but even 60 fps in CSGO is on the low end. Might want to go to CS:S or CS1.6 & try trackmania nations forever and see if you get good frames there.

I think the demand for reaction time for trackmania and counter strike is about the same.

yeah I know... the title isn't very good. the point though is that a quit demanding fps game runs at for fps than trackmania, a vroom vroom game.

So actually I have tried trackmania nations forever and I get a solid 30-60 on that.
Also yes ubisoft release trackmania nations forever onto steam. it is a lot better (in some ways). It's also worse in some ways but still do it.
are you mad bro, CS:GO can run on a potato... you need a better PC to run this game
Here are the system specs for Trackmania 2020:

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Originally released for Windows 7, the game can be played on Windows 10 and Windows 11 OS
Processor: Intel Core i5-4690K, AMD Ryzen5 1500X
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 480
DirectX: Version 11
Storage: 3 GB available space

And here are the specs for CS:GO:

OS: Windows® 7/Vista/XP
Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 processor or better
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: Video card must be 256 MB or more and should be a DirectX 9-compatible with support for Pixel Shader 3.0
DirectX: Version 9.0c
Storage: 15 GB available space

If you could please explain how CS is more demanding.....
I mean if you can barely get 60 FPS on CSGO then you are in trouble already...

60 FPS on CS may be enough for you, but that means you're not gonna get near that if you play something like Trackmania. (because it's a far more demanding game)

What do you not understand here?

I just find it a little stupid nadeo/ubisoft can't add optimization settings or that a racing game is this demanding. Like, maybe add a setting to remove shadows, remove water reflection, remove car reflection etc etc.

i dont tthink its makes sense to make each game developer sweat over optimization issues when clearly none of them benefit from selling new hardware. [/quote]

The game dev(s) don't get paid from hardware companies. And it can't be that hard to just add a setting to remove reflections, can it? I'm not asking for a giant update where they make it as good as possible for performance, I'm just asking for a small setting. If they did this, it would be better for them because it would make more people play because they don't need a PC to play, not even a beefy laptop. I also can't be the only person who has this opinion.
Great game though.
Yeah, that's why I play tmnf instead, but this trackmania is better, so I would rather play it.
