The game is literally free. You can play the official campaigns when they come out each season and compete with other people for times. You can play the official multiplayer modes, including ranked. Also you can make your own stuff with track editors, skins etc.
The subscription is only for advanced online features like Track of the Day, publishing your creations online, player clubs and so on. Before you post your braindead takes, maybe do the bare minimum research next time?
If you want full customisation and server hosting then you'll have to pay the club access whcih is considerably higher.
The only difference here is the 10 bucks a year for the normal access that used to be free to play. I think it is a fair price for the continued development that we didn't really get in the old titles (ie new blocks gamemodes surfaces and other features)
Try it out for free to get a feeling and do some track of the days (player submitted tracks which are also free to play) and see if it is worth the measly 83 cents per month.
But in my opinion, subscription is quite justified, maybe because the game receive regular updates with new things regularly (new blocks, new Royal mode, new season campaigns, etc...), but also because on Club access, you can setup a server/room with your maps/custom mode without worrying about it. Just connecting to your server will boot it up and you can play your maps with your friends, it's very cool imo.
At least, it's still better than paying Rocket League pass which only give you cheap gift/cosmetics like lemon tyres that doesn't worth the price you paid...
HAAAAAAAAH
you activated my trapcard!!!!
it's bad enough that i couldnt even OPEN the game without it crashing!
SO IT'S DOUBLE THE TROUBLE
RAVIOLLI
which is all the relevant pieces of a TM game. I don't get why they dont just sell the game for 20 bucks and make a Demo. That worked in the past.
A subscription means the game, ultimately, costs infinity money. They can get a lot more out of you than through a one-time purchase.
