I'm a fan of the series ''The King of Fighters'' for over 20 years and my favorite ''KOF'' is the ''KOF 2002''..
I think, I can speak for all fans of KOF 2002 series, for all who have played on the Playstation 2 platform and all who played in Arcades..
I come here to make a simple request of heart in this forum, by the way is a question..

Why not include the ''KOF 2002 Original NEOGEO Version''; within that version ''The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match, Steam''. As they did with version ''THE KING OF FIGHTERS '98 ULTIMATE MATCH FINAL EDITION, Steam''. ?

Particularly, I prefer the KOF 2002 original NEOGEO version.
I just wanted to make this request, or would like an answer of this..

I'm not one to brag, but since the X360 version of 02UM doesn't have Neo-Geo Mode, this won't either. I mean, yeah, it would be nice, but oh well, can't have everything much, since I would guess Code Mystics would say like they mentioned 98UM-FE as they used the X360 port as a base.

Original kof2002 its one of the ugliest pieces of ♥♥♥♥ that ever disgrace the neo geo. Only kof2k1 is more ugly. That Eolith period when SNK just outsource his properties was really sad.

Agreed, I hated vanilla 2002 but think 2002 UM is the best game in the series.

people that think KOF 2002 vanilla is more superior (also for 98 vanilla) than UM version, usually tier ♥♥♥♥♥ that can't adapt with rebalancing

some veteran players goes back to vanilla 98 at fightcade because they just can't win using their top tier characters, one even ask "why? it's the same game right? UM only add some new characters that I don't play"

SNKP always go wrong with added characters
they will always be overpowered and have way more tools than original cast (KOF02UM maybe an exception)
but the characters they added in KOF98UM are too strong (Krauser, Eiji, Geese, Mr, Big, Kasumi)
that can kill the fun of the game for veterans unless they try to change their stretagy and characters and adapt to the new systems

Personally I hated KOF98UM but I like KOF98UMFE and I think its finally the ultimate version on kof98

Ok guys, end of discussion, I really like the game ''KOF 2002 NeoGeo vers.'' If you do not agree, I'm sorry..
I just wanted to know why not have the version within that ''UM Vers.''..
I think I'll buy the game.. I had already played that version on the x -box and i will buy this one on Steam more for the online mode..

I was kinda ticked that KOF 2002 didn't have King in the game. She's one of my favorite fighters. I'm glad she's brought back in KOF 2002 UM. I still wish they would of brought back Wolfgang Krauser.

It was more of a space issue than copyright (K9999 has cards on "KOF vs FF" "game") and SNKP is not going to put one more yen on a quick port of the XBLA version on STEAM...
