Default Unlocked Characters

The NESTS Bosses Team (Krizalid, Clone Zero, Original Zero and Igniz), Omega Rugal, Geese (and his Nightmare version), Goenitz and EX characters are unlocked from the beginning or we need unlock them

Orochi makes a quick appearance in Orochi Chris' HSDM

Actually, there's a screenshot that has the 360 achievement list for the Steam ver., and from what I remember, one of them requires unlocking all the EX and Boss characters, so yeah, we'll have to unlock characters this time around.

A japanese only PS2 version of the original 2002 added the SVC Chaos versions of Geese, Geonitz, and Orochi Iori. So Geese and Geonitz were playable in the NESTS saga before hand while Orochi was not. That makes me wonder why Orochi Iori wasn't in 2002um.

I guess the EX character are unlocked by default but the bosses doesnt. Someone here played the XBLA version to confirm?

All the characters are unlocked. There is no achievement for unlocking characters.

SNK needs to make one final 2D KOF that has all characters used from KOF'94 to KOF XI and call it KOF Ultimate Dream Match! ;)
